I had a great afternoon last week conducting a hands on stone carving workshop with Rene (@_renesalas_), Cheyenne (@cmc.arch), Michael (@michaelmdsn), & Nathan (@nathan.a.m.walz)
Thank you all at the office of Michael Imber (@michaelimberarchitect) for the opportunity and warm welcome.
It's so rewarding to share my craft with professionals that have an insightful understanding and appreciation for it's history and cultural significance.

T128 Dorsal fin hand carved in Texas limestone

While visiting Maine, I had the opportunity to join members of the @mainestoneworkers on a tour of Hurricane Island and the once active quarry that was operated there for decades. Historian, Eleanor Motley Richardson, led our tour and described the once bustling community on the island built by the stone workers and their families. It was a lovely day!!

There's still work to do, but I had a wonderful time this week teaching introductory sone carving at the Indiana Limestone Symposium. Thank you everyone at the symposium and the Bybee Sone Mill for inviting me to be a part of your event!! @indianalimestonesymposium
